                              The Verb Chant Chart

This is a handy little tool I used for learning verbs and different 'tenses' of verbs. It's known as the Verb Chant Chart. Here it is:

So what it is, is a chart that shows some common verbs like To eat, and To come. Let's look at To eat.

So To eat, as-is, is TABERU. The 'plain' one is almost always identical, we can skip that.
Then you've got your negative verb (I can't eat, for example). This is TABENAI.
The Verb Stem and Te Form aren't much use to us at this time. We can skip them too.
Then, you've got Past (like I did eat). This is TABETA.
Finally, you've got potential (like I can eat). This is TABERARERU.

So this is quite handy to us! But, this is called the Verb Chant Chart, so the chant goes as follows. We'll use To eat as an example again.

                              Taberu, taberu, tabenai.
                              Tabe, tabete, tabeta.
                              Taberareru.

Do this for all the verbs, and although it doesn't have a tune, it's kinda cool.
That's the Verb Chant Chart! Click here for the advanced version.
