Website Tools - Glossary - On-page version
Welcome to Help! If you're here, you'll be having trouble understanding the on-page Glossary, built in to most pages. Here's an example of one, found on the Sentence Structures - Simple -
Something you like/dislike with reasons page:
Japanese wordwatashi
sakka desukara | Japanese script私
サッカ ですから | English meaning |
I've tried to make the layout of this as simple as possible.
On the very left, is the Japanese word column. In here are some words you'll find throughout the page the glossary is situated on. They are in what is known as Romaji - the English way of spelling Japanese words.
In the middle, is the same word but in Japanese script. In the example above, there's a word in Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana.
On the very right, is the meaning of the word, in English. Sometimes, you'll just get a link to a page, like on the desukara example. This happens when the meaning of this word is explained in detail on a separate page.
I hope this has simplified the on-page Glossary for you. If you still have any questions, contact me using the Contact page. When you do this however, paste in this before writing your comment:
